The 3x objective lens has lost most of it's brass finish. more Optics seem to be excellent with no concerns. I tested the unit with the 10x eye piece and both objective lenses with a couple old slides. There is one split on the back panel of the box but appears to have been there for some time and still fully intact. I didn't see any marked ebola or bubonic plague so no worries there. It has an accessor y box with some o ld slides. It has the wood en holder fo r the eye pieces& lenses. Comes with the original ca rry box in excellent condition with original key fully functional. There is anot her wi der diameter objective lens with no mark ings(no tu be) Comes with a 10x& 4x eye piece lens. Each has its original brass protective tube with lid.
